PAUSA Art House is an intimate listening room designed for music, conversation, and shared experience. Located in Buffalo’s historic Allentown district, the space offers a refined setting for private events, performances, and gatherings that benefit from a focused, welcoming atmosphere.Whether you are hosting a private celebration, a corporate gathering, or a music-centered event, PAUSA provides a fully equipped environment supported by an experienced team.
The Space
PAUSA is best experienced as a seated listening room, with a capacity of up to 57 guests. The layout is designed to support attentive audiences and a comfortable, elegant flow throughout the evening. A performance-ready piano is available as part of the venue, along with a professional sound system. The space is ideal for events where quality, atmosphere, and presence matter.
Rental Structure
All rentals are based on a four-hour minimum, which includes setup, the event itself, and breakdown time.
Rental windows are designed to align with the natural rhythm of the venue:
Daytime
Evening-Weekday
Evening-Prime (Thursday through Sunday)
Full Day Buyout
Prime evening windows reflect peak demand and alignment with PAUSA’s core programming schedule.
Rental rates typically range from $450 to $850 for a four-hour event, depending on the day of the week and time of day. Full buyouts are available for extended or exclusive use of the venue.
Additional time may be arranged in advance or, if available, on the day of the event.

Optional services such as event coordination, additional staffing, and promotional support may be arranged as part of your event.
Bar & Beverage Service
PAUSA is, at its core, a jazz club and tapas bar. Beverage service is an integral part of the experience and is managed exclusively by PAUSA staff.
For evening events, bar service is required.
Clients may choose between:
Full cash bar
Beer and wine service
Hosted/open bar arrangements (with a credit card on file)
All hosted bar arrangements are tailored in advance based on the nature of the event.
Outside alcohol is not permitted.
Food & Catering
Outside food and catering are welcome. Clients are responsible for coordinating their catering and for the proper handling and removal of all food-related items at the conclusion of the event.
Scheduling & Flow
PAUSA operates as an active performance venue. Private events are scheduled to complement, not disrupt, the venue’s programming.
Evening rentals typically precede scheduled performances and must conclude within the agreed timeframe to allow for a smooth transition.
Daytime events offer the most flexibility.
Booking & Payments
A signed agreement and deposit are required to secure your date. Once confirmed, the date is held exclusively for your event.
The remaining balance is due prior to the event. Any additional services or time extensions are settled following the event.
